GRANTED SUCCESSIONCERTIFICATE /LETTER OF ADMINISTRATION/LEGAL HEIR CERTIFICATE WHERE THE AMOUNT DOES NOT EXCEDS RS.2,00,000/- BY THE HONBLE ADMINISTAT

The applicants son and daughter-in-law died on 8-6-2004, 19-5-2004 respectively leaving behind their parents. During their life time they deposited an amount of Rs.10,000/- each total amount Rs. 40,000/- by way of 5 ½ year Kisan Vikas Patra in the Post Office. (F.D.Rs) But no name was entered as nominee for the above FDRs who died on the aforesaid dates. The applicants contended that the deceased persons have no children out of their wed lock. The applicants are the old aged citizens. They are Father and Mother and Father-in-law and Mother-in-law of the deceased persons. They contended that they are the legal heirs of the deceased persons. After death of the deceased persons the applicants approached to the Post Office and the respondents stated that no nominee name was mentioned in the 5 1/2 years kvp deposits and insisted to produce succession certificate. The applicants filed C.A. and after conducting a detailed enquiry in the matter The Hon’ble Administrator General granted succession certificate /letter of administration/legal heir certificate to the applicants to enable to receive the amount from the post office. The above case was argued by me on behalf of the Applicants before the both the Hon’ble Andhra Pradesh Administrator General and obtained favorable order.
